Texel and the surroundings
Within walking distance you will find Texel’s youngest village. Partly surrounded by nature and (West) Frisian Islands, De Cocksdorp borders on the Wadden Sea. Our hotel and sunbathing area border directly on the ‘De Roggesloot’ nature reserve, a former Wadden graben. In any case, the situation of the hotel is ideal for nature lovers. Beautiful areas such as De Muy, De Slufter and bird sanctuary De Schorren are within easy reach.
The northern point of the island offers many different facets. Apart from beaches and nature there are plenty of opportunities for sporty leisure. Cycling, golf, surfing, catamaran sailing or horseback riding in the woods and dunes. And they who dare can make a parachute jump over Texel! From De Cocksdorp you can discover the island further by car or bicycle: nice villages, the Oudeschilder fishing port and of course the seals in Ecomare.
